Setting up guest payment

Location: Settings > Guest Payment

In this section, you can add one or more payment setups to receive prepayments, deposits, or apply a no-show fee.

Note: To begin receiving guest payments, you must connect to a Stripe account.

Note: easyTable charges a service fee of 1.6% on all payments.

Adding a Payment Setup:

Click “Add payment setup” at the bottom of the page to configure your payment settings.


Name: Choose a suitable name for your payment setup. This name is for internal use only and will not be visible to guests.

Method: Choose from the following payment methods:

  1. Capture payment: The amount is withdrawn immediately from the guest’s credit card.
  2. Reserve amount: The amount is reserved on the guest’s credit card up to 6 days before the booking and is deducted 6 hours before arrival or on late cancellation. If booked more than 6 days ahead, a payment link is sent to the guest 6 days before arrival. Note: “Reserve amount” is not recommended, as most banks only allow reservations for up to 30 days, which may limit payment options for bookings made further in advance.
  3. No-show fee: Saves credit card information and charges a fee for no-shows or late cancellations. The fee is deducted only if the booking is marked as “No show/Not arrived” or if it is canceled too late.

Type: Choose between “Deposit” and “Prepayment” depending on the nature of the payment. This will be reflected in communication with the guest but does not affect the technical setup.

Price: Select “One price” for a fixed amount and specify the amount, currency, and unit. Use “Per booking” for a fixed per-booking fee or “Per guest” for a per-person charge.

For more flexible options, choose “Multiple prices” to let guests select from different “products” with individual prices (e.g., Adult or Child). You can also include a service fee, which will be added to the payment and displayed separately for the guest. Note that the number of selected items must match the number of guests. For this, we recommend considering the preorder feature instead.

Cancellation notice: Specify the minimum time required for cancellations to qualify for an automatic refund. Manual cancellations are subject to the same notice period. Refunds can be processed through Stripe. See Stripe’s documentation for help.

Description (to the guest): Provide a description that will appear on the online booking payment screen for the guest’s reference.
