How to set up an Event

Location: Settings > Events

Events are primarily used for bookings on specific dates.
If it’s a recurring event, then we suggest using Bookingtypes.

Name and Guest information: This is the information that will be shown on the booking page, so the guest will know what they are booking.

Payment: This can be used to take pre-payments, set up no-show fees, and deposits. You can read more about payments here

Color: This is purely cosmetic and is used to add a bit of flair on the backend site, so it’s easier for the restaurant to keep track of normal bookings and event bookings.

Show on online booking: This means you can hide the event from the online booking, this can be used if you want to only target specific guests. A link will appear once you save the event, this can be used to send out to specific guests. Later on down in Booking time(s), you’ll also be able to disable online booking entirely, if you only want manual bookings for the event.

Booking time(s): Here you specify when the event runs from and to. Keep in mind that you’ll need to add all the arrival times for the event (eg. 15:00, 15:15, 15:30). If you choose to use a specific room for the event, this will close off normal bookings for that room.

Once you press save it should automatically be added to the booking page.
