Setting up tables

Location: Settings > General > Tables and rooms > Tables

Default screen

The default screen suggests 3 tables with 2 seats and medium priority.

Setting up tables

Here you can configure the table name, maximum seats, and priority. If the priority is set to Offline, the table can only be used for manual bookings and not online bookings.

N.B.: You can also arrange tables by drag-and-drop using the visual table plan.

Changing the order of tables

Move and rearrange the tables by clicking and dragging the arrow icon.

Table priority (how the system allocates tables)

easyTableBooking allocates seating based on the following algorithm:

  • If there are multiple rooms, the system prioritizes the room with the highest priority.
  • The system tries to book a single table before using combinations.
  • It selects the table or tables that best fit the number of seats for optimal booking.
  • If multiple tables have the same seat count, it chooses the table with the highest priority. For table combinations, it considers the first table’s priority in the combination.

NB: It is recommended to set lower priority for tables often used in combinations for larger groups, so these tables remain available for accommodating larger parties.
