How Group Requests Work

How Group Requests Work in easyTable

The Group Request feature allows guests to request a group booking directly through the booking widget, making the process seamless and efficient. Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose Details: Guests need to select their desired date, time, and the number of guests (PAX) they wish to book for.
  2. Submit the Request: Once the guest completes the request, the restaurant will receive an email notification with the details of the request.
  3. Confirm or Deny: The restaurant can then choose to confirm or deny the request:
    • If Confirmed: A booking will be created in the system using the information the guest provided during the request.
    • If Denied: A denial email will be sent to the guest, advising them to contact the restaurant or try for another date.

Important Note: Please be aware that group requests will only be visible in your email and will not appear in the easyTable system. It is crucial that your email provider allows emails from us to avoid them landing in the spam folder. Ensuring this is your responsibility.

Tip: We recommend that restaurants test the Group Request feature themselves to ensure everything is functioning correctly. This can help identify any issues before guests begin using the feature.
